Wasabi, a cross‑border e‑commerce solutions provider, says the share of foreign staff now accounts for about 26.7% of its 45 employees, with team members from China, Taiwan, New Zealand, Myanmar, Vietnam and Indonesia among seven nationalities. The company plans a Myanmar subsidiary, WASABI COMPANY LIMITED, in FY2025 and aims to hire over 100 people within a year, while expanding offshore development in 2026, mainly in Vietnam and nearby markets. Since December 2024, it has used SNS recruitment via YouTube, TikTok and Instagram to showcase diverse life in Japan, attracting inquiries from overseas residents. It has strengthened support such as language‑related allowances for N1 holders and a dual‑path HR system to fairly evaluate and nurture individual strengths, reinforcing its drive for autonomous careers. With the global cross‑border e‑commerce market forecast to reach about 6.72 trillion USD by 2034, Wasabi views the Myanmar launch and multinationalization as a second founding phase to accelerate growth.
