Okayama Prefecture released the results of its first survey of foreign students about life after graduation. Of about 4,000 students enrolled, 645 responded. Of these, 46.5% want to work in Japan after graduation, and 32.3% of them prefer to work in Okayama. The top reasons for choosing Okayama are easier living conditions and fewer disasters. The prefecture says it will use these findings as baseline data for policy planning, including broader human-resource initiatives.
