A Japanese language school for foreign students seeking work in Japan opened in Yakage town, Okayama, with 28 students joining the first class from Myanmar, Bangladesh and other countries. Operated by Kaibata Gakuen under an agreement with Yakage, the fully boarding school offers two courses—two years and 1 year 6 months—with a total capacity of 80 students. It provides Japanese instruction plus exam preparation for specific skills, job-search support, and daily life assistance to help students gain employment in Japan. Principal Shu Saito said the aim is for graduates to feel the move to Japan was worth it, and the school plans to recruit more Southeast Asian students in the future.
