A joint recruitment briefing for foreign students was held in Fukuoka to address labor shortages in the hospitality industry amid rising inbound demand. About 300 students attended from eight local hotels, where they heard explanations of job duties, working conditions and growth potential. The event is part of a city program run for three years to connect students with employers. Nepalese and Vietnamese students said they hope to contribute to company growth and stay in Japan, while hotel operators stressed the importance of language skills and cross-cultural understanding. The city says it will continue expanding links between employers and job seekers.
